Our new three-year Corporate Plan focuses on delivering jobs, growth and greener communities across the region. The plan outlines how the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) will work with partners to attract investment, improve transport and public services, and create new opportunities for local people. Building on the East Midlands Growth Plan launched in 2025, it sets out clear priorities to turn ambition into real results for residents.
Over the past year, EMCCA has already made significant progress. This includes launching a 10-year Growth Plan, beginning delivery of the £160 million East Midlands Investment Zone, creating a £25 million fund to support town centre regeneration, and investing in key development sites such as Broad Marsh in Nottingham and the Infinity Prototyping Centre in Derby. Over the next three years the Authority will continue supporting business growth, creating jobs, improving skills, delivering new homes and strengthening communities across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
The plan also sets out major investment to improve transport, develop clean energy and support greener growth. The region has secured £2.2 billion for transport improvements, is investing in road repairs, bus services and active travel, and is supporting major clean-energy projects such as the redevelopment of Cottam Power Station. Alongside this, EMCCA will work with partners to tackle health inequalities, prevent homelessness and ensure residents have the skills and opportunities they need to access good jobs and build a better future in the East Midlands.
