Working closely with local councils, landowners, and developers, we’re turning some of the region’s most challenging sites into thriving neighbourhoods. Our focus is on creating high-quality homes that are environmentally friendly and built to last.
We’ve already secured over £16.8 million in funding per year from the Government to help bring unused brownfield land back into use. We are currently building up to 1,400 much-needed new homes which are due to be completed by March 2026.
We’re also committed to improving existing housing through retrofit schemes – making older homes more energy-efficient and comfortable for residents.
Thanks to devolution, we’re also able to plan more effectively for the future – investing in inclusive growth, better infrastructure, and community regeneration in the East Midlands.
This is a big step towards building a better, greener, and more affordable future for everyone in our region.
