Brownfield housing

A new chapter for housing in the East Midlands

Mayor Claire Ward has called for more homes to be built on brownfield land. Now, that vision is becoming a reality.

We’re bringing under-used land back to life with our ambitious aim to build 52,000 new homes across Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham, and Nottinghamshire.

This work is already underway thanks to nearly £17 million in government funding through the Brownfield Housing Fund.

This funding, secured by the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA), will support 12 housing schemes that will transform brownfield sites into thriving new communities.
