To deliver our vision for the region, we have created the East Midlands Growth Plan. This 10-year strategy will bring our ambitions for the region to life.

Our strategy for the region is about unlocking growth while tackling inequality. We will make sure that no one in the region is left behind.

  • 60,000+  more people in work
  • 210,000  more people with skilled qualifications
  • 100,000+ new homes built
  • £13bn  added to the economy
  • £2bn+  investment in transport infrastructure
  • 1GW  additional clean community energy generation

Our opportunities

Health and Social Care 2

Healthier, fairer communities

We will tackle deprivation, health inequalities, and barriers like childcare and transport to make work more accessible.

Improved transport

We will invest £2bn into more reliable buses, new transport links, cycling and walking infrastructure, and better connectivity across the region.
