We will create 60,000+ new jobs, with a focus on good pay, secure contracts, and career progression.
We will make it easier access to apprenticeships, retraining, and adult learning so people can move into better careers.
We will tackle deprivation, health inequalities, and barriers like childcare and transport to make work more accessible.
We will build 100,000 new homes and improve of existing housing to improve energy efficiency and lower bills.
We will invest £2bn into more reliable buses, new transport links, cycling and walking infrastructure, and better connectivity across the region.
We will help communities become more sustainable through investment in renewable energy, flooding prevention, and more.
We will ensure communities have faster broadband and improved mobile coverage, especially in rural areas, so everyone can access online services.
Our plan is all about making the East Midlands a fairer, greener, and better place to live and work. We want to improve everyday life for residents, while creating the conditions that organisations need to thrive.
Partnership is at the heart of the East Midlands Growth Plan. We will now work with local, regional, and national partners to deliver our plan to make the East Midlands one of the best places in the country to live, work, and learn.
