As UKREiiF 2025 draws to a close, the East Midlands region is celebrating a series of successful engagements and announcements, highlighting its ambitious regeneration and inclusive growth plans.

On the final day, Mayor of the East Midlands Claire Ward participated in a Treasury Investment Briefing with Economic Secretary to the Treasury, Darren Jones, to champion regional priorities and long-term investment opportunities across the East Midlands.

This was followed by the Chesterfield £2 billion regeneration session at the East Midlands Pavilion. Organised by Destination Chesterfield and Chesterfield Borough Council, the event showcased transformative investment opportunities across Chesterfield and Staveley. The regeneration plans are set to deliver 3,900 homes, 7,800 jobs, and contribute £473 million to the economy.

Across the packed 3-day event, East Midlands Combined County Authority showcased its future vision at UKREiiF, highlighting key investment opportunities and development plans. Key highlights included The Trent Arc, a project connecting Nottingham and Derby with 30,000 new homes and 2.7 million square feet of commercial space. Derby’s City Centre Office Prospectus was also unveiled, highlighting the city’s urban transformation.

Mayor Claire also presented the East Midlands Vision for Growth to over 200 investors, along with discussions on Nottingham’s regeneration, the East Midlands Freeport, and the East Midlands Investment Zone, offering tax incentives and world-class infrastructure. The day concluded with a focus on Derbyshire’s heritage-led development and the Supercluster clean energy initiative in North Nottinghamshire.

Mayor of the East Midlands, Claire Ward said: “UKREiiF has been a real success. I would like to extend my sincerest thanks to its organisers and my dedicated team here at EMCCA. We are excited and enthused to take forward the positive steps made here at UKREiiF and get back to working on delivering for our region.
