The East Midlands will be at the heart of the UK’s transport conversation as Derby welcomes the 9th Annual Local Transport Today (LTT) Conference.

The event, hosted by the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA), takes place on the 18 and 19 November at Derby Conference Centre.

With its world-renowned railway heritage and status as the soon-to-be home of the Great British Railways Headquarters, Derby is the perfect backdrop for a national conversation on the future of mobility, innovation, and connectivity.

Recently, Derby also hosted The Greatest Gathering as part of Rail 200, proving its status as a national centre for rail innovation and pride.

Over two action-packed days, the LTT Conference will unite leading voices from government, industry, academia, and the charity sector to explore the bold policies and cutting-edge solutions shaping the next generation of transport.

Delegates will hear directly from Mayor of the East Midlands, Claire Ward, and EMCCA Chief Executive, Amy Harhoff, alongside a host of other influential speakers.

A major highlight will be EMCCA’s exclusive ‘Showcase Session’, where the East Midlands takes centre stage to demonstrate how the region is driving forward transformation in transport and connectivity.

Mayor of the East Midlands, Claire Ward said:

“We’re delighted to bring the LTT conference to Derby – a city with both a proud transport heritage and a bold, innovative future. This summit puts the East Midlands at the centre of the national conversation, showing how we’re shaping a smarter, greener, more connected future for transport.”
