Connect to Work

What is Connect to Work?

The East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) is partnering with local health, skills, employment, and community services to deliver a programme designed around the needs of our residents and employers.

The new programme, Connect to Work is a voluntary, UK Government-funded programme offering personalised employment support for people living in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

It is designed for people who are disabled, have a health condition, or are facing complex barriers to work, and who would benefit from tailored, one-to-one support.

Connect to Work can help you to:

  • Move into work
  • Stay in work
  • Keep your job if you are at risk of losing it

Who is Connect to Work for?

Connect to Work is for people who:

  • Are not currently working because of a health condition or other complex barriers (including lived experience of the criminal justice system)
  • Are in work but at risk of losing their job due to health issues or other challenges

You do not need to be claiming benefits to take part.

How to access Connect to Work

Connect to Work is being introduced in phases across the East Midlands.

You can express your interest at any time.

Expressing interest does not mean you will receive support immediately, but it helps us to understand local demand, and informs you when the programme becomes available in your area and the right support is in place.

This page will be updated as availability changes.
